2 sentenced to five years for dacoity

hyderabad: the iii additional metropolitan sessions judge on wednesday convicted garadi kollapuri and amori pedda subba rao and sentenced them to five years rigorous imprisonment. they were also ordered to pay a fine of rs 2,000 each in three different incidents of dacoity. according to the prosecution, on november 13, 1990, two unknown persons armed with sticks and knives entered houses situated at shaikpet, lalapet and university quarters and looted property over rs 1 lakh.the accused were arrested on april 26, 1991. the police investigated the case and the prosecution was led by public prosecutor, p satyamurthy. the court relied on the evidence on record and convicted the accused.
